About John Fumasoli:

John Fumasoli has had a distinguished career as a performer and music educator. With over 35 years in the “biz” he has experienced great joy recording with Jeff Golub, the Average White Band, Marion Meadows, Bobby Baldwin, Robby Dupree, Shelby Lynne, Jose’ Feliciano, Roger Ball, Brian Torff’s Thunderstick, his own group “The Jones Factor” and over 50 recordings for “Pocket Records”. In addition, John has performed in concert with Tony Bennett, Gerry Mulligan, Diana Ross, the Rippingtons, the Gil Evans Band, BB King, Cab Calloway, the Four Tops, the Temptations, Sammy Davis Jr. and Johnny Mathis, to name a few. At present he is on the faculty of Fairfield University and Fairfield Public Schools, and has previously taught at Housatonic Community College, The University of Bridgeport, and in the Westport Public Schools. John has numerous compositions and arrangements published by D.I.D. publishing and writes regularly for the Jones Factor. Recently Mr. Fumasoli has been involved with the “New Duke” project, a group formed to play Duke Ellington music with a modern twist. The band has an album out, numerous videos and has won 3 National Endowment of the Arts grants. In addition, Fumasoli leads the Jones Factor, his 10 piece jazz ensemble presently at work on the group’s third album.

About The Trio's Members:

Pianist: Rob Aries toured and recorded with artists such as guitarist John Scofield, the "world jazz" group Special EFX, R&B band Change, saxophonist Bill Evans, Brazilian pianist Eliane Elias, and singers Liza Minnelli, Melba Moore and Freddie Jackson. He also produced and co-wrote several songs on saxophonist Donald Harrison's CTI release "The Power of Cool", and played and composed for the late saxophonist Cornelius Bumpus’s CD "Known Fact" on Palmetto Records. Rob currently tours with the Average White Band.

Bassist: Mark Minkler has been on the New York music scene for nearly four decades. He has been a member of the Buddy Rich big band, the Widespread Jazz Orchestra, and the New York Pops Orchestra. Mark has accompanied many vocalists, including Blossom Dearie, Chris Connor, Margaret Whiting, Susannah McCorkle, Maureen McGovern, Ann Hampton Callaway, and Lesley Gore. Mark has performed with many jazz instrumentalists including Thad Jones, Mike LeDonne, Jim McNeely, Tim Armacost, and Lou “Blue Lou” Marini.
